Chris Murray

Construction Head New Markets at Renewable Energy Systems

Chris Murray has had extensive work experience in the construction industry. Chris began their career in 1979 as a Construction Project Engineer at John Laing Construction Limited. Chris then worked as a Civil Project Engineer at PIRELLI CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LTD from 1985 to 1989. After that, they served as a Section Manager at Sir Robert McAlpine from 1989 to 1992. Murray then worked as an Assistant Resident Engineer at Acer Consultants (Hyder Consulting) Ltd from 1993 to 1994. Chris later became a Contract Administrator at Hassan M. Allam Co. from 1995 to 1996. Murray then joined Hyder Consulting (Acer Freeman Fox International) as a Resident Engineer from 1996 to 1999. Following this, they held various roles at Renewable Energy Systems, including Contracts Manager from 2000 to 2008, Construction Director - RES Mediterranean from 2008 to 2015, and Construction Head New Markets from 2015 onwards. Chris also served as a Board Member of Turkish subsidiary RES Anatolia Holding A. Ş. and was a member of the RES Australia Executive management team. Throughout their career, they have gained extensive experience in construction management and leadership roles.

Chris Murray attended the University of Bristol from 1975 to 1979, where they studied Civil Engineering. After completing their degree, Chris obtained their Chartered Engineer certification from the Engineering Council in December 1984. Chris also became a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Prior to their university education, Chris attended Whitgift School, although the specific dates and degree obtained are not provided.
