Darren Robertson

400kv Senior Authorised Person / Control Engineer at Renewable Energy Systems

Darren Robertson has extensive work experience in engineering and energy sectors. Darren started their career in the Royal Air Force, working as an Aircraft Electrical Engineer from 1989 to 2005. Darren then transitioned to a role as an Electrical instructor at the Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education from 2005 to 2007.

Following this, Darren joined Blackrow Engineering as a Contract/Project Manager, where they managed contracts, coordinated staff, and liaised with customers. Darren worked on installation and commissioning of electrical control panels and installations throughout the UK from 2007 to 2010.

Afterwards, Darren worked at px limited as an E C & I Engineer and Atex inspector/Electrical technician. In 2016, Darren shifted to DONG Energy as a 400kV Senior Authorised Person/Control Engineer. Darren continued to fulfill similar responsibilities and ended their tenure in January 2019.

Most recently, Darren worked at RES (Renewable Energy Systems Ltd) as a 400kV Senior Authorised Person/Control Engineer, starting in December 2018. No specific end date was provided for this role.
