Garth McGimpsey

Garth McGimpsey has worked at two companies throughout their career. Garth started at Soltys Brewster Limited in 2004 as a Landscape Architect and eventually became a Senior Landscape Architect. In this role, they designed and managed projects in the UK and Ireland for both private and public clients. Garth was also responsible for preparing reports, specifications, and bills of quantity for construction projects, as well as tendering and administering construction works.

In 2009, Garth joined RES as a Development Project Manager and later became a Senior Development Project Manager. Garth was involved in managing cross-functional teams and overseeing the delivery of multiple projects at various stages of the life cycle. Garth'sresponsibilities included project inception, design, planning, construction, and handover to generation teams. Garth recently served as a Project Manager, leading project delivery until their current role as a Senior Project Manager.

Garth McGimpsey completed their education at Heriot-Watt University from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Landscape Architecture. In addition to their degree, Garth also holds several certifications in various fields. Garth became a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) in May 2008. Later, in February 2012, they became a Practitioner Member of the Institute of Environmental Assessment (PIEMA). In October 2016, they obtained a Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management from the ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management). Furthermore, Garth obtained an APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) from the Association for Project Management in May 2017. Garth'slatest certification is as a Chartered Planning and Development Surveyor (MRICS) from RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) in April 2018.
