Gary Howden Ieng Miet

Gary Howden has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Gary is currently working as an Operations and Maintenance Engineer at RES since April 2020. Prior to this, Gary worked at Howden Projects Limited from January 2012 to March 2020 as an Electrical Engineer. During their time there, they managed engineering inspections and modifications, project managed onshore and offshore activities, and handled contracts. Before that, they worked at px limited as an E, C & I Engineer from September 2011 to December 2011. Gary also worked at Bluestar Fibres Company from December 2007 to September 2011, where they were responsible for project management of electrical equipment, troubleshooting assistance, and contractor management. Gary started their career as a Self Employed Gas and Heating Engineer at The Boiler Doctor from April 2004 to December 2007. Gary also has experience at Unilever as a Line Improvement Leader from January 2001 to March 2004 and at Birds Eye Foods as an Engineering Technician from September 1996 to January 2001. Gary began their professional journey as a Plumbing and Heating Engineer at Paul Howden from June 1991 to September 1996.

Gary Howden IEng MIET has a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical and Mechanical, which they obtained from the University of Lincoln from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Grimsby College from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained an HNC in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In addition, they have obtained various certifications including a Certificate in High Voltage Operational Safety from City and Guilds in December 2019, a NEBOSH Level 3 Distinction Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from North Lindsey College in May 2010, and several GWO certifications in areas such as Fire Awareness, First Aid, Manual Handling, Sea Survival, and Working at Height, obtained from AIS Training and HOTA in January 2019.
