Kagan Gilik

Kagan Gilik has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy industry. Kagan began their career at Rofa Solar as a Project Engineer, where they successfully managed the development of a 2.2 MWp unlicensed solar PV project. After this, they joined Q CELLS as a Project Development Manager, where they played a key role in the acquisition and development of a pipeline of 19 utility-scale solar PV projects totaling 175 MWp. During their time at Q CELLS, they also served as a Business Development Manager, finalizing the sales process of 153 MWp projects to third-party investors. Currently, Kagan works at RES as a Business Development Manager, where they are responsible for evaluating new business opportunities and managing the M&A processes for a wind energy project portfolio of 285 MW. Overall, Kagan Gilik has a strong track record in project development, deal structuring, and business development in the renewable energy sector.

Kagan Gilik has an extensive education history. In 2007, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Yildiz Technical University. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Energy Conversion and Management from the University of Nottingham, which they completed in 2012. More recently, from 2020 to 2022, they attended Koç University, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. In 2021, they also had the opportunity to further their studies in the field of Private Equity and Venture Capital as a Visiting MBA Student at SDA Bocconi.
