Mike Hughes

400kv Sap/control Engineer at Renewable Energy Systems

Mike Hughes has a strong background in renewable energy systems and high voltage engineering. Mike started their career at E.ON in 2009 as an Operations Supervisor, where they were responsible for managing the operations team and optimizing the facility's performance. In 2012, they joined Innogy Renewables UK as a High Voltage Engineer, where they managed wind farm assets, including a 400/132kV onshore substation, and handled the interface with National Grid. Mike then moved to Natural Power in 2015 as an OFTO site manager, overseeing 400kV SAP. Currently, Mike is working at RES as a 400kV SAP/Control Engineer.

Mike Hughes completed the NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety at NEBOSH in 2006. In the same year, they also attended Hartford College where they obtained a HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Mike completed their studies in this field in 2008.
