Peter Deeney has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as a Shop Assistant/Butcher Assistant at Supervalu Buncrana, where they stocked shelves, assisted customers, and conducted full butchery of various meats and fish mongering. From 2009 to 2014, they were a Warehouse Tech/Driver at P & E DOHERTY (ROE) LIMITED, responsible for preparing and delivering fruit and vegetables to hotels and restaurants in Co. Donegal and Co. Derry. In 2015, they joined Scantech Geoscience as an Underground Utilities Surveyor, performing site surveys, maintaining communication with various parties, and utilizing tools such as ground-penetrating radar. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at CMD Electrical as a Wind Turbine Electrical Installation Lead, carrying out full electrical installations of wind turbines, including retrofit systems and system fault finding. Most recently, since 2020, they have been at RES, first as a Site Manager and currently as a Project Development Manager.

Peter Deeney completed their Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Environmental Management at Glasgow Caledonian University from 2011 to 2015. Peter then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Engineering at Queen's University Belfast from 2018 to 2019. Prior to their bachelor's degree, Peter was enrolled in the environmental management program at Glasgow Caledonian University, without specific start or end years provided.
