Sharmarke Ahmed

Sharmarke Ahmed has a diverse work experience in software development and customer service spanning several companies. Sharmarke recently joined RES as a Software Developer in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Leaf Grow as a Software Engineer from June 2021 to September 2022, where they were responsible for developing features for in-house proprietary marketing technology. Sharmarke also led initiatives to improve backend system efficiency and code readability.

Before Leaf Grow, Sharmarke worked as a Frontend Developer at Reputationaire from November 2020 to April 2021, where they played a critical role in implementing the front end necessary for launching TechieRank, a ranking service for developers. Sharmarke also worked as a Frontend Developer at Kaafi Home Services from June 2019 to January 2020, where they developed a community app for home-specific tasks.

Sharmarke gained early experience as a Junior Software Developer at Calamsoft from February 2019 to May 2019, working on a teacher portal app. Sharmarke also worked as a Frontend Developer at OGAAL from March 2018 to August 2018, developing an e-commerce app for local businesses in Mogadishu.

Sharmarke began their career in 2012 at Barclays as a Customer Service Representative, where they assisted customers with their requests and supported backroom staff with customer-related tasks.

Sharmarke Ahmed's education history includes a variety of academic qualifications and certifications. In 2008, they started their education at Harris Academy Merton, where they completed their GCSE studies in an unspecified field of study. From 2013 to 2017, Ahmed attended the University of Somalia, earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Following this, in 2019, they enrolled in Microverse and obtained a Certificate in Computer Science.
