Simon Deacon

Simon Deacon has a strong background in operations and maintenance, with a focus on grid management and distribution. Simon began their career with Central Networks as a Regional Manager in 1995 and held that position until 2011. Simon then joined Western Power Distribution as a Distribution Manager, where they worked until 2014. Following that, they joined Sterling Power Group as a Work Delivery Manager for a year. Since 2015, Simon has been with RES, initially as a Contestable Grid Specialist and later moving up to the role of Head of Operations and Maintenance. Currently, they serve as the Operations and Maintenance Director at RES.

Simon Deacon completed their B Eng (Hons) degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Aston University from 1989 to 1992. Later, they pursued an MBA degree at De Montfort University from 1999 to 2002.
