Don Ruff is currently the President of Renewable Hydrogen Alliance and the Principal Engineer at Ruff Consulting. With a background in Civil/Structural Engineering, Don has extensive experience in HV transmission line design, project management, and expertise in projects related to HV transmission insulators. Don previously served as the President of Partners of the Americas Oregon Chapter, focusing on connections between Oregon and Costa Rica. Prior to that, Don worked as a Structural Engineer at Bonneville Power Administration of DOE US Govt for nearly three decades. Don's education includes a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering from Portland State University and a BA in History, German, and English from Lewis & Clark College.

RHA is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to promoting the production of hydrogen from renewable energy. We focus on education, exploring technical issues, and overcoming institutional barriers to developing and deploying technologies that make more efficient use of available renewable energy to reduce dependence on fossil fuels beyond the electric power grid.
