Ohad Gafni

Ohad Gafni has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of stem cell technologies and bioengineering. Ohad is currently serving as the Co-Founder and CSO of Renewal Bio since February 2023. Prior to this, they were the CEO and CSO of Regenevida from January 2022 to February 2023. From December 2018 to February 2023, Ohad worked as the Director of Stem Cells Technologies at Recombinetics, Inc. Before that, they held the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota from November 2016 to November 2018. Ohad began their career as a PhD student at the Weizmann Institute of Science from December 2011 to October 2016. Ohad also holds the experience of being an M.Sc student at Ben Gurion University from 2008 to 2010. Overall, Ohad Gafni has demonstrated a strong background in stem cell technologies, academia, and leadership roles in various organizations.

Ohad Gafni pursued their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 2005 to 2008. Ohad then completed their Master of Science degree in Physiology and Biochemistry at the same institution from 2008 to 2010. Finally, they attended the Weizmann Institute of Science for their Doctor of Philosophy degree in the field of Pluripotent stem cells and interspecies chimerism from 2011 to 2016.
