Kemp Gregory's work experience begins in 2011 when they worked as a Digital Innovation Analyst at Ford Motor Company. In 2012, they briefly worked as a Wind Energy Data Engineer at Shell. From 2013 to 2018, they worked at Shell as a Completion Engineer. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of Graduate Teaching Assistant at Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, which they held until December 2019. In 2020, they became an Adjunct Lecturer at the same institution. In September 2019, Kemp co-founded Renewell Energy and currently serves as its CEO.
