Sian Crampsie is a seasoned energy and environment journalist with extensive experience in the electric power industry. Currently serving as Senior Editor and European Onshore Wind Editor at reNEWS - Renewable Energy News since July 2020, Sian focuses on the onshore wind energy sector in Europe. Prior freelance work from September 2007 to July 2020 involved covering technology, market, and policy developments in global electric power, along with environmental and sustainability issues. Sian's previous roles include Managing Editor at PennWell, where leadership of the editorial team for Power Engineering International magazine and chairing several industry conferences occurred. Earlier experience includes Deputy Editor and Assistant Editor positions at Wilmington Publishing, specifically for Modern Power Systems and Power Economics magazines. Sian holds an MSc in Environmental Technology and Energy Policy from Imperial College London and a BSc (Hons) in Geology from Durham University.
