Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development and Medical Affairs at Rénibus Therapeutics

Ayrn O'Connor, M.D. has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Medical Director of Clinical Development and Medical Affairs at Renibus Therapeutics Inc, starting in January 2023. Prior to this role, they had a long tenure at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix, where they served as a Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. Ayrn started as an Assistant Professor in July 2007 and was promoted to Associate Professor in July 2013. In July 2020, they were further promoted to the position of Professor and continues to hold this role. In addition to their academic responsibilities, they also had roles at the American College of Medical Toxicology, serving as a Board Member from September 2016 to April 2023. Furthermore, they have a strong background in medical toxicology, having worked at Banner Health as the Director of the Medical Toxicology Fellowship since July 2017. Previously, they served as the Assistant Director of the Medical Toxicology Fellowship from July 2007 to June 2017 and as the Rotation Director from July 2005 to June 2007. Ayrn also worked as a Medical Toxicologist at Phoenix Children's Hospital from July 2005 to January 2023.

Ayrn O'Connor, M.D. began their education journey at Franklin College from 1992 to 1996. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Chemistry. Continuing their academic pursuits, Ayrn then attended Indiana University School of Medicine from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD). Following their medical degree, Ayrn went on to complete an Emergency Medicine Residency at Indiana University School of Medicine from 2000 to 2003. Finally, they pursued a Medical Toxicology Fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine between 2003 and 2005.
