Craig Cook

Craig Cook currently serves as the General Counsel and Secretary of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, managing all legal matters for the institution since June 2016. Prior to this role, from March 2003 to June 2016, Cook held various positions at IBM, including Associate General Counsel for Intellectual Property Law, where leadership of a global team focused on protecting IBM's innovative assets, and in roles emphasizing global compliance and legal management for multiple divisions. Cook's early career included significant experience in technology and regulatory law, and complex litigation, with a legal foundation established through a B.B.A. in Finance and a J.D. from the University of Iowa.
