Matthew Termolen

Matthew TerMolen currently serves as the Vice President for Institute Advancement at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this role, Matthew was the Senior Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer at Syracuse University from January 2015 to January 2023. Matthew's extensive experience at Northwestern University spanned from 1997 to January 2015, where Matthew held positions as Associate Dean/Associate Vice President and Associate Vice President in Alumni Relations and Development. Notably, Matthew managed the Kellogg School of Management's campaign during this tenure. Earlier professional experience includes serving as the Director for Annual Giving at the University of Chicago from 1993 to 1997 and completing a term as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras, specializing in beekeeping, from 1987 to 1989. Matthew earned a BA in Political Science from Miami University, attended between 1983 and 1987, and is a graduate of Evanston Township High School.
