Todd Przybycien is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of chemical and biological engineering, currently serving as the Head of the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department and a Professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute since August 2018. Concurrently, Todd holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Chemical Engineering and Professor of Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University since June 1998. Todd's research primarily focuses on biopharmaceutical processing, particularly bioseparations and drug delivery, leveraging spectroscopic and biophysical methods to explore structure-function-processing relationships in pharmaceutical proteins. Todd's extensive academic experience includes founding the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Canterbury and a previous role as a Senior Research Engineer at Monsanto Company. Todd earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Biology from Caltech, alongside a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the same institution and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis.
