Pranav Sharma

Pranav Sharma has an extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Pranav started their career at Lockheed Martin in 2005 as a Computer System Programmer/Analyst, where they designed and developed an enterprise-level application for the Social Security Administration. Pranav then joined the Social Security Administration as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead, leading a team of developers and introducing various development practices. In 2011, they moved on to Cambium Learning Group as a Senior Software Engineer, working on the implementation of web-based products for remedial education.

In 2013, Pranav joined Rent-A-Center, initially as a Development Team Lead, where they built a primary store POS system and implemented industry-standard best practices. Pranav later served as a Solutions Architect, spearheading initiatives to improve efficiencies and transition to cloud-based technologies. Pranav then became the Manager of Enterprise Services, managing a team of developers and implementing API integrations. Finally, they became the Senior Manager of Application Development and Enterprise Services, leading the implementation of store applications for the company's digital transformation.

Most recently, in 2023, Pranav joined Upbound Group as the Director of Application Development. In this role, they are responsible for driving engineering solutions, managing capacity and budgets, and improving cost efficiencies across all store front technologies and API integrations for both internal and external partners.

Pranav Sharma holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. In addition, they have obtained the certification of AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in October 2017.
