Dr. Björn Beckmann

Dr. Björn Beckmann has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Dr. Björn joined Rentschler Biopharma SE in 2017 and has held various roles including Head of Quality Control, Senior Director Production Support, Director Support Cleaning and Service (komm.), Director Buffer Media Service, Lean Change Agent, and Process Engineer Upstream/Process Engineer Upstream Production. Alongside their role at Rentschler Biopharma SE, Dr. Beckmann has also worked as a Freelance Lecturer at Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen and Hochschule Biberach - Biberach University of Applied Sciences, teaching courses in the field of biotechnology. Prior to their current positions, they worked as a Research Scientist and Doctorate Candidate at Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Hamburg (HAW Hamburg). Dr. Björn also completed an internship and Bachelor's degree candidate role at Sartorius Stedim Biotech, where they focused on the development and physical characterization of single-use stirred tank bioreactors.

Dr. Björn Beckmann completed their education with a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnologie from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences from 2006 to 2011. Dr. Björn continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from 2011 to 2013. Finally, they pursued a doctorate in Technische Chemie at Leibniz Universität Hannover from 2014 to 2017, earning the degree of Dr. rer. nat.
