Head of Legal and Intellectual Property at Repertoire Immune Medicines

Cara Lowen has extensive experience in the field of legal and intellectual property. Their most recent position was as the Head of Legal and Intellectual Property at Repertoire Immune Medicines since November 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President and Chief Intellectual Property Counsel at Repertoire Immune Medicines from August 2021 to October 2022. Before joining Repertoire Immune Medicines, Cara held the role of Vice President and Chief Patent Counsel at Codiak BioSciences from January 2019 to August 2021. Cara also worked as the Vice President and Chief IP Counsel at Bioverativ from February 2017 to January 2019 and as a Senior Director, Legal IP at Biogen from June 2003 to January 2017. Cara's career began as an Associate in the field of Intellectual Property at Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP in 1994 and continued at Dike, Bronstein, Roberts & Cushman (which later merged with Edwards & Angell) until 2000.

Cara Lowen started their education journey at The Taft School from 1978 to 1982, where they obtained their high school diploma. Cara then went on to attend Barnard College from 1982 to 1986, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Cara further pursued their education by attending the University of Connecticut from 1986 to 1988, where they received a Master of Science degree in Cell Biology. Finally, they enrolled at Boston University School of Law from 1989 to 1993, completing their education with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
