Jessica Sparks has a wealth of experience in the scientific field, having worked in various roles since 2013. Jessica began their career as a Biologist I and II at the Institute for In Vitro Sciences, Inc. from 2013 to 2015. Jessica then moved to Synthetic Genomics, where they worked as a Research Associate II, Senior Research Associate, and Associate Staff Scientist, Preclinical Lead from 2015 to 2019. In this role, they were responsible for molecular construction of RNA vaccine candidates, as well as in vitro RNA transcription generation for both in vitro and in vivo characterization. Jessica was also the technical lead for studies pertaining to immuno-oncology and vaccine development, establishing new protocols related to tumor efficacy studies. In 2019, they joined Poseida Therapeutics, Inc. as a Preclinical Study Coordinator and Preclinical Study Supervisor. Finally, they are currently employed as a Scientific Manager at Replicate Bioscience, Inc. since 2021.
Jessica Sparks attended the University of Pittsburgh from 2011 to 2013, where they earned a Masters of Science in Infectious Disease and Microbiology. Jessica previously attended Pennsylvania State University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
