Replicate Bioscience
Melanie Olesiuk has over 20 years of experience in the field of bioscience. Melanie began their career in 2001 as a Lab Technician at QIAGEN. In 2004, they worked as a Water Quality Technician at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SF Water Power Sewer). From 2006 to 2017, they held various roles at DNA2.0 (now ATUM), including Library Production Manager and Mammalian Expression Scientist and Research Assistant 1 and 2. From 2017 to 2019, they were an Associate Staff Scientist at Synthetic Genomics, where they designed and assembled constructs used to optimize the replication, transcription, and translation of proteins in a self-replicating platform. Most recently, they worked as an Associate Scientist at Poseida Therapeutics, Inc. from 2019 to 2021. Currently, they are a Research Scientist at Replicate Bioscience, Inc.
Melanie Olesiuk obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from Thompson Rivers University between 1996 and 2001.
Replicate Bioscience
Replicate Bioscience is applying advanced srRNA technology towards solving a life-threatening problem—drug resistance in cancers—using their proprietary synthetic immune lethality approach. They are also developing srRNA injections for sustained therapeutic protein expression, to treat inflammatory disorders and other conditions.
