Shigeki Miyake-Stoner is a scientific consultant with over 10 years of experience in research and development. Shigeki is currently the Director of R&D and Head of Technology at Replicate Bioscience, Inc. Prior to this, they were a Scientist II at Synthetic Genomics, where they held roles in Algae Strain Engineering, Tech Transfer Lead, and Oncology Discovery Lead. Shigeki also worked as a Translational Scientist at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, and completed their PhD Studies at the University of California San Diego. At Franklin & Marshall College, they held roles as a Research Student, Senior Research Associate, House Adviser, President of Ware College House, and Computer Workroom Consultant.
Shigeki Miyake-Stoner attended Lakewood High School from 2001 to 2005. Shigeki then went on to Franklin & Marshall College, where they earned Bachelor's Degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology between 2005 and 2009. Finally, Shigeki Miyake-Stoner completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology at UC San Diego from 2009 to 2017.

Replicate Bioscience is applying advanced srRNA technology towards solving a life-threatening problem—drug resistance in cancers—using their proprietary synthetic immune lethality approach. They are also developing srRNA injections for sustained therapeutic protein expression, to treat inflammatory disorders and other conditions.
