Umay Saplakoglu

Umay Saplakoglu, Ph.D., currently serves as Vice President of Proteins and Incubator at Repligen Corporation, a position held since October 2024. Previously, Umay held the role of Vice President, OpEx and Learning Lead at Bristol Myers Squibb from October 2022 to September 2024, and was Head of Research and Development for Single Use at Cytiva from April 2020 to October 2022. Umay’s extensive experience also includes over 15 years at GE Healthcare, where roles included Chief Digital Officer and Global Fast Trak Leader, overseeing technical teams across the US, China, India, and Europe. Educational accomplishments include a PhD in Biology from Middle East Technical University and a Postdoctoral fellowship in Developmental Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
