Zai Zakaria

Zai Zakaria has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical and laboratory equipment industry. Zai is currently the Director of Global Strategy & Innovation at Repligen Corporation since March 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Global Commercial Lead and Director of Sales in the same company.

Before joining Repligen Corporation, Zai held the position of Vice President of Business Development at Woodley Equipment Company, where they were responsible for developing new business and implementing process improvements to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Zai Zakaria completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Indiana University Bloomington from 1978 to 1982. They then pursued a Master of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 1982 to 1986. Prior to their higher education, Zai Zakaria completed their Malaysian Certificate of Education (MCE) at MARA Junior Science College (MRSM).
