Dario Castagnoli

Dario Castagnoli is an experienced executive in the energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Trading, Origination & IT and an Executive Board Member at Repower since June 2022, overseeing approximately 70 employees. Prior to this role, Dario was the Corporate Director of Energy Management, Trading & Renewables at Nexus Energía from October 2015 to March 2022, managing power, gas, LNG, oil, emissions trading, and portfolio management. Dario's previous positions include Senior Cross Commodities Trader at Vattenfall Energy Trading, Senior Asset Trader at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, and Portfolio Optimization Specialist at Essent Energy Trading. Early career experience includes project management and scientific roles at ABB Corporate Research and military service as a Second Lieutenant in the Italian Army. Dario holds an MBA from IMD, a Diploma in Automatic Control from ETH Zürich, and a Master's in Electrical Engineering from Università di Pavia, along with an Erasmus degree from ENSEEIHT.
