Kyle Bettinger has held a variety of roles in the medical device industry since 2011. Kyle began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Wayne State University in 2011. In 2015, they co-founded SpecOp, a startup company that designed a medical device to improve circumferential support to reduce the occurrence of vaginal wall prolapse. In 2016, they worked as a Technical Problem Solver at Epic, where they obtained certifications in multiple components of Epic's electronic medical record (EMR) software suite. From 2017 to 2018, they served as a Primary Design Engineer at Ethicon, Inc. where they provided primary engineering support throughout the design and development of an implanted medical device and its suite of supporting products. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Senior R&D Engineer at Boston Scientific, where they led competitive landscape research to support the determination of project and design requirements. Kyle also worked as a Senior R&D Scientist and R&D Scientist at Reprise Biomedical during this same time period. Lastly, they worked as a Senior R&D Research Engineer at Amphora Medical, Inc. from 2019 to present, where they lead front end and treatment mechanism of action research activities and executes ex-vivo and in-vivo device testing.
Kyle Bettinger received their Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2015, and then went on to receive their Master's Degree in the same field from the same institution in 2016.
