Yvonne Gutierrez

Chief Strategy Officer (cso) at Reproductive Freedom for All

Yvonne Gutierrez has a strong background in reproductive rights and advocacy. Yvonne began their career in 2005 at Planned Parenthood South Texas, where they held various roles including Director of Communications and Public Affairs and Vice President for Public Affairs. In these positions, they led communications and media strategies, raised the organization's profile, and served as a primary spokesperson.

In 2012, Gutierrez joined Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast as the Vice President of Public Affairs and Government Relations. Yvonne led strategic grassroots organizing initiatives and served as the chief representative to the Texas State Legislature. Yvonne also served as the Political Director for PPGC Action Fund.

Gutierrez co-founded Planned Parenthood Texas Votes in 2014 and served as its Executive Director. Yvonne successfully defended against anti-choice bills and developed statewide strategies for electoral, legislative, and organizing campaigns. Yvonne also built a coalition of state and local organizations to support reproductive health, rights, and justice.

From 2019 to 2021, Gutierrez worked at Supermajority as the Head of Community Engagement. Yvonne was responsible for building community relationships, overseeing outreach for organizational partnerships, and mobilizing community organizations for campaign initiatives. Yvonne launched the "We Demand More" campaign and organized a city organizing tour with participation from Democratic Presidential Candidates.

Most recently, Gutierrez joined Latino Victory Project in 2021 as the Managing Director. In this role, they have focused on strategic management and leadership.

In 2023, Gutierrez will be taking on a new role as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at NARAL Pro-Choice America.

Yvonne Gutierrez holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, General from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
