Artur Abalian

Artur Abalian is an experienced drilling and project engineer with a robust background in various engineering roles within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Engineering Team Lead at the GRN Project, a joint venture between Repsol, Wintershall Dea, and Sonatrach in Algeria, Artur oversees operations for drilling gas development wells. Previous positions include Drilling Project Senior Engineer for deepwater wells in the Gulf of Mexico, Project Lead Engineer for groundbreaking horizontal well constructions in Western Siberia, and contributions to digital drilling operations at Repsol. Artur's early career includes roles at Gazprom Neft and Halliburton, where expertise in well analysis and integrated project management was developed. Artur holds a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor's degree from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.
