Roland Hochstrasser

Roland Hochstrasser serves as the Office Manager at Repubblica e Cantone Ticino since June 2020 and has been the Founder of the Virtual Museum of Travel and Tourism since 2015. Previous leadership roles include President of the Associazione musei etnografici ticinesi Amet from May 2017 to September 2021, Head of Sector at the Cultural Observatory of Ticino from 2018 to May 2020, and Vice President and researcher at Associazione Museo del Malcantone until 2020. Roland also held various research and project management positions within regional politics and development from 1999 to 2014, and served as a Junior Researcher at the Centre de Conservation de la nature in 2002. Roland's educational background includes a Master of Advanced Studies in Sustainable Urbanism from the University of Lausanne and a current Certificate in Management and Leadership for Archival, Library and Information Science from the University of Bern, along with a Lic. Phil. II degree in Geography from the University of Lausanne.
