Alper Aydemir

Alper Aydemir serves as the CEO and CTO of Volumental, a company co-founded in October 2012, where responsibilities span across strategic and tactical areas, including roles as a computer vision engineer, backend developer, and salesperson. Additionally, Aydemir is an investor at rerun.io since May 2022 and previously worked as a Technologist in the Computer Vision Group at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory from May 2013 to February 2015, contributing to research on perception and computer vision for the DARPA Robotics Challenge. Aydemir earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in 2012, focusing on robotics and computer vision, and holds a B.Sc. in Mechatronics from Sabanci University (2006). A research internship was completed at Carnegie Mellon University in 2005.
