Gary S. currently serves as Marketing and Communications Manager at the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials, Inc. since December 2017, where responsibilities include leading organizational re-branding efforts, developing marketing plans, and managing website redesign and communication campaigns. Previously, as Editing and Publishing Leader, Gary was Editor-in-Chief for the organization's Fragrance Ingredient Safety Assessment series, significantly increasing publication rates in peer-reviewed journals. Gary has also produced and hosted a weekly international music show for WFMU since January 2014, and held editorial positions at Luminary Labs, Merck KGaA, and the National MS Society, contributing to various successful content initiatives. Gary's career began at Readme, a pioneering digital arts magazine, and an educational background includes a BA in English/Creative Writing from San Francisco State University.
