Pia Mamut, PhD, serves as a Senior Researcher at Forschungsinstitut für Nachhaltigkeit (RIFS) since January 2024, and is also a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster since May 2017. Mamut's experience includes a role as Project Manager at Institut für dezentrale Energietechnologien GmbH from July 2013 to July 2016, providing advisory services to municipalities on energy saving and renewable energy initiatives. Prior research work includes a position as a Research Assistant at Indonesia Centre for Sustainable Development, focusing on community-based forest management challenges and opportunities. Mamut holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Münster, a Master of Science in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science from Lund University, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration & European Studies from the University of Twente.
