Eric Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Eric started their career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in 1998 and worked in that role until 2000. Later, in 2003, they joined the American Councils for International Education as a Program Officer. In 2007, they became a Foreign Service Officer for USAID, where they served until 2014. During the same period, they also worked as a Fulbright Scholar for the Fulbright Association. Currently, they are employed at RTI International, first as the Director of Research and Development from 2014 to 2021, and currently as the Senior Director of Technical Strategy.
Eric Johnson attended Lewis & Clark College from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in International Relations. Eric then pursued further education at the University of Minnesota from 2001 to 2003, obtaining a Master's degree in International & Comparative Education. Finally, from 2004 to 2008, Eric attended Columbia University and completed their studies with a PhD in Comparative Education and Political Science.
