Zachary Read

Zachary Read currently serves as the Director of Internal and Executive Communications at RTI International, a position held since March 2017, and has previously advanced through various communications roles, including Internal Communications Manager and Communications Specialist. Prior experience at UNC Health Care from April 2013 to March 2017 involved creating strategic content, managing social media platforms, and executing communication plans for major initiatives. Notable earlier work includes contributing as a writer for Inside Carolina Magazine and serving as an Associate Editor at the University of North Carolina Press, where Zachary focused on developing and acquiring books related to North Carolina. Zachary holds an M.A. in Creative Writing from Boston University and a B.A. in English from Skidmore College.
