Mehdi Kalantari Khandani

President and CTO at Resensys LLC

Mehdi Kalantari Khandani has worked in the technology industry since 2000. Mehdi began their career as a Research Scientist at the University of Maryland, where they conducted research on energy efficient Wireless Sensor Networks, Network Layer Security, Delay Tolerant Networks, and modeling Information Flow in dense wireless networks. Mehdi also initiated pioneering works on using models inspired by electrostatic theory to formulate information flow in dense sensor networks. In 2008, they became President and CTO of Resensys LLC, leading the R&D efforts on development of award winning Resensys Wireless SenSpot sensors. Theirwork included design and development of energy efficient wireless communication, synchronization, and sensing algorithms in SenSpot sensors, which have made them the best in their class. Currently, SenSpot offers the World's most energy efficient wireless structural monitoring sensor with an adaptive energy management system.

Mehdi Kalantari Khandani completed a PhD in Wireless communication systems, Sensor Networks, and Network security from the University of Maryland between 2000 and 2004. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology between 1992 and 1998.
