CA Ignacio Kanthenga FCCA, BAcc, has extensive experience in the financial sector, currently serving as a Senior Examiner for General Insurance and Intermediaries at the Reserve Bank of Malawi since March 2012, focusing on the supervision of the general insurance sector. Previous roles include Examiner in General Insurance and Intermediaries, and a Rental & Cost Accountant at Barloworld Equipment Malawi Limited, as well as a Bank Clerk at Indebank Limited and an Audit Assistant intern at PwC. Ignacio holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy from the University of Malawi, an ACCA qualification obtained between 2010 and 2013, and is currently pursuing an MPhil in Development Finance at the University of Stellenbosch Business School from February 2022 to November 2023.
