Catherine Nkhwazi is an experienced professional with a strong background in education and financial consumer protection. Currently serving as an Examiner 1 in the Consumer Education and Complaints Handling unit at the Reserve Bank of Malawi since March 2012, Catherine focuses on empowering consumers in financial decision-making and safeguarding them against potential risks. Prior to this role, Catherine worked as an Education Officer at the Ministry of Education Headquarters, managing primary schools and ensuring the implementation of quality education policies from August 2009 to February 2012. Additionally, Catherine has experience as a Lecturer at Lilongwe Teacher's Training College, teaching Mathematics and Life Skills Education from October 2004 to August 2009. Catherine holds a Master of Arts in Sociology of Education from UNIMA, Chancellor College, and a Bachelor of Arts in General Education from Lakeland University.
