Chris Hewson has a diverse work experience in the field of reservoir engineering and simulation. Chris has worked as a Senior Simulation Engineer at ResFrac Corporation since 2020. Prior to that, they co-founded Reservoir Concepts in 2017 and served as a Contract Reservoir Simulation Specialist at Cenovus Energy during the same period. Before these roles, Chris worked at TNO as a Reservoir Engineer from 2015 to 2017, where they conducted optimization and history matching studies on assets in multiple countries and collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team to develop data analytic software. Chris also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at TU Delft in 2014 and as a Reservoir Engineer at Statoil in the same year, where they focused on modeling and implementing Autonomous Inflow Control Devices (AICDs) in offshore heavy oil reservoirs. Earlier in their career, Chris served as an Engineering and Quality Team Leader at B.I.E. International B.V. from 2011 to 2013 and as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Sustainable Energy, Environment, and Economy in 2011.
Chris Hewson completed a Master's Degree in Petroleum Engineering at Delft University of Technology from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary, graduating between 2007 and 2011. In addition, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from the Coursera Course Certificates in June 2016.
