Kristin O'Donoghue

Kristin O'Donoghue is a dedicated professional currently serving as a James C. Gaither Junior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace since August 2024. With extensive experience in research and writing, Kristin has contributed to various organizations, including Resilience Education as an Intern Case Writer, focusing on legal challenges faced by incarcerated individuals, and as a Research Assistant for Professor Danielle K. Citron at the University of Virginia, studying gendered disinformation and online harassment. Previous roles include News Writer at Cville Weekly and Intern at Washington Writers Network, where Kristin executed research and crafted speeches for political clients. Kristin's commitment to advocacy was demonstrated at the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy and OneVirginia2021. Kristin co-founded Civics Unplugged to empower Generation Z in democracy-building efforts. An alumna of the University of Virginia, Kristin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political & Social Thought and History.
