Billy Taki

Billy Taki currently serves as a Senior Associate at ResilienceVC, beginning in January 2024. Previously, Billy held the position of VP & Head of Strategy at Pluang, a multi-asset retail investment startup in Jakarta, Indonesia, from September 2022 to September 2023. Billy gained valuable experience as a Strategy & Business Development MBA Intern at Nubank and as a Product Management MBA Intern at Carbon, a digital banking startup in Lagos, Nigeria. Additional roles include Pro Bono Consultant for Opportunity International, Vice President and Private Equity Investment Associate at Mesirow Financial, and Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Billy's career began with an internship at Piper Jaffray and included a retail finance internship at Walgreens, along with a research internship at The Ronin Group. Billy holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from The Wharton School, an MA in International Development and International Economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS, and a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, supplemented by studies at Università Bocconi.
