Tom Anthierens has extensive work experience in the field of research and development. Tom began their career at Ghent University in 2007, where they worked as a PhD student and project researcher until December 2011. After that, they became a post-doctoral research fellow at the same institution from January 2012 to February 2012.
In 2012, Tom joined Resilux, where they worked in various roles related to R&D. Tom started as an R&D project engineer and held this position until August 2018. From September 2018 to September 2020, they served as the R&D manager and group application manager. Currently, they hold the position of Group Technical Director at Resilux since September 2020.

Tom Anthierens completed their education with a PhD in Bioscience Engineering Chemistry from Ghent University, which they pursued from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Bioscience Engineering with a specialization in Chemistry from the same university, during the period of 2002 to 2007. Tom'searly education was completed at Onze-Lieve-Vrouwecollege Assebroek (OLVA) from 1996 to 2002, where they pursued a degree in Wetenschappen-Wiskunde (Science and Mathematics).
