Sterling Hundley has extensive experience in financial operations and management, currently serving as the Financial Operations Officer and Controller at Resolution Copper since May 2006, where responsibilities include overseeing financial operations and providing strategic advice on taxation and business opportunities. Prior to this role, Sterling held the position of Director of Financial Accounting - Risk Management & Remediation at ConocoPhillips from April 1997 to May 2006, managing a $1 billion risk management reserve and reporting on environmental and financial initiatives. Additionally, Sterling served as Accounting Supervisor at Circle K from February 1993 to April 1997, focusing on financial statement preparation and corporate acquisitions. Sterling holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Arizona State University, earned between 1985 and 1989.

Resolution Copper
Resolution Copper is Arizona Copper. Our project, a proposed mine outside of Phoenix, Arizona, has the potential to support nearly 25% of U.S. copper demand, giving Americans access to a critical resource for our everyday lives and the clean energy transition. The copper from the mine will be used to produce vital products that modern society depends upon, such as electric vehicles, smartphones, renewable electricity generation and MRI scanners. Resolution Copper will also deliver significant economic growth to nearby communities and the state of Arizona by providing jobs, tax revenue, and increased local spending over the project’s 60-year lifespan. We are committed to being good stewards of the environment, protecting culture and heritage in the areas where we operate, and contributing to the long-term success of our communities. The project is a joint venture owned by Rio Tinto (55%) and BHP (45%).
