Ahmed Gamal began their career in 2010 as a Software Development Intern at Orange Cairo Labs. In 2012, they moved to Orange Labs Cairo as a Software Engineer, working in an agile development environment on android applications, websites, and games. In 2014, they became Co-Founder of RTopia, a start-up initiative for augmented reality games using aerial imaging via drones. Ahmed was responsible for the project and business planing, in addition to their part of development work. In 2016, they began working at PraxiLabs as a Technical Consultant, helping to restructure the software architecture to handle the great number of changing scenarios. That same year, they became Head of Games Development Department and Games Development Lecturer at SAE UAE. In 2018, they joined xcitED.io as a Technical Consultant, leading the development team and putting a dynamic software structure in place. Finally, in 2022, Ahmed began working at Resolution Games as a Game Developer and Scrum Master, implementing new features and fixing bugs on some of the multiplatform and multiplayer games.
Ahmed Gamal completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Cairo University from 2007 to 2012. In 2018, they obtained their Master of Science in Game Development Professional Practice from Middlesex University. In 2013, they obtained an Agile Foundation Certificate from the Software Engineering Competence Center-SECC. Ahmed also holds certifications in Unity Certified Expert: Programmer from Unity Technologies (obtained in 2021), 3ds Max: Rendering with Arnold, Animating Characters with Mecanim in Unity 3D, CSS: Animation, Game Design Foundations: 1 Ideas, Core Loops, and Goals, Game Design Foundations: 2 Systems, Chance, and Strategy, Interactive Animations with CSS and JavaScript, Substance Painter 2018 Essential Training, Unity 5 2D: Optimizing Graphics, Unity: Cloud Build with Git, and Unity: Level Design.
