Stefan Countryman is a Software Engineer at Medallion since June 2022 and has been a Private Tutor at Columbia University since September 2009, specializing in math and physics for students at various educational levels. From 2019 to 2022, Stefan pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics at Columbia University while also serving as a Research Assistant for the Advanced Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory, where responsibilities included developing a high-performance timing system and mentoring fellow researchers. Additional experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant in the Math Department, Science and Programming Outreach Consultant for the World Science Festival, Associate Editor for Film at Columbia Daily Spectator, Staff Writer for Inside New York, and an EOL Photography Intern at the Smithsonian Institution.
