Somak Mukherjee

Somak Mukherjee has extensive work experience in the field of visual effects and animation. Their most recent role is as a Creative Director at Resonance Digital, where they have been working since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Visual Effects Supervisor at the same company starting from September 2021.

Before joining Resonance Digital, Somak worked at After Studios as a VFX Supervisor from January 2020 to September 2021. Somak also worked as a CG Supervisor at Red Chillies.VFX from October 2017 to January 2020.

Somak's earlier experience includes working at FUTURE WORKS as a CG Team Lead/Shoot Supervisor from November 2009 to September 2017. Somak started their professional career at Tataelxsi as a Senior 3D Artist from November 2006 to November 2009.

Prior to that, Somak worked as a Senior Faculty at Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics from April 2005 to November 2006. Overall, Somak Mukherjee has a strong background in visual effects supervision and leadership roles in the animation industry.

Somak Mukherjee pursued their Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Calcutta University in Kolkata, completing their studies from 2000 to 2003. Somak then furthered their education by attaining a Diploma in Animation & Vfx from MAAC, from 2003 to 2005, with a focus on Animation & Vfx.
