Nazgul Abdrazakova Schmida is the President and CEO of Resonance, an innovative consulting firm that delivers market-based solutions to solve the world’s toughest challenges through corporate sustainability, impact investing, unlocking frontier markets, and global development.

Since founding the firm in 2005 (formerly SSG Advisors) Nazgul has played a leading role in a wide spectrum of prominent strategy implementation across all verticals of the firm, driving business growth in existing and new service lines in frontier markets around the globe. Under her leadership Resonance was recognized on Inc Magazine’s 2019 Inc. 5000 list which ranks the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.

On a day to day level, Nazgul oversees company finances and operations, focusing on revenue growth. Nazgul also plays a key role in recruiting and retaining world-class, action-based strategists and problem solvers that are adept at navigating cross-cultural and cross sector relationships.

Prior to founding Resonance, Nazgul worked on a World Bank-funded privatization program in addition to several USAID projects focused on post-privatization and accounting reform.

Nazgul received her undergraduate degree at Kyrgyz National University and Studied abroad at the University of Colorado and Charles University in Prague. Following that, she received her MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.
