Joseph Calderan

Joseph Calderan is an experienced engineer specializing in product development for the medical device industry. Currently serving as NPI Group Lead, Principal NPI Engineer, and Senior Product Development Engineer at Resonetics since November 2020, Joseph has played a pivotal role in the development and design of medical devices, particularly focusing on single-use devices such as catheters. Previously, Joseph held the position of Senior Product Development Engineer at Distal Solutions, Inc. from November 2020 until the company's acquisition by Resonetics in June 2021, and served in a similar capacity at Nordson MEDICAL from April 2016 to November 2020. Joseph's career began at Dura Biotech as R&D Engineer and Director of Quality Control, involved in developing a novel transcatheter aortic valve technology. Joseph holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, where academic work occurred from August 2012 to May 2014, and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same institution, completed in 2012.
