Sr. RF Engineer at Resound Networks

Luis Hinojosa has a diverse range of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Luis began their career in 1994 as a Sr. RF Engineer at CEDETEL, where they focused on cellular propagation simulation and the installation and maintenance of AMPS/TACS TDMA 800 MHz cellular service. Luis then worked as an RF Field Engineer at PrimeCo Personal Communications, responsible for CW surveys in various cities. In 2000, they joined Verizon Wireless as a Sr. RF Design Engineer, designing CDMA networks and coordinating RF addendums.

At Verizon Wireless, Luis later transitioned to the role of Sr. System Performance Engineer, where they measured and analyzed performance across multiple platforms, optimized network performance, and launched 4G LTE and EVDO networks. Luis also supported Alltel integration and conducted drive testing verification of systems.

Following their time at Verizon, Luis worked as a Sr. RF Field Engineer at Cricket Wireless and as a Proposal Engineer at RigNet. Luis then joined Resound Networks LLC as a Sr. RF Engineer, designing Wi-Fi and LTE networks and developing improved tools for infrastructure estimation.

Luis's work experience also includes roles at TRC Companies, Inc. as a Sr. RF Engineer, providing specialized telecommunication engineering services for utility and oil and gas clients, and at KGI Wireless as a Construction Manager. Most recently, they have been working as a Sr. RF Engineer at Resound Networks, focusing on RF design projects.

Luis Hinojosa's education history begins in 1986 when they attended Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Luis completed their Bachelor of Science in Electronic and Communication, specializing in Telecommunications Engineering, in 1990. In 1993, Luis attended Tecnológico de Monterrey to pursue a Diplomado in Digital Telecommunications. Continuing their education, they enrolled at The George Washington University in 1996, focusing on Mobile Radio Engineering. Most recently, in 2019 and 2020, Luis studied at LeaderQuest San Antonio, completing a program in Network Support Specialist.
