Alexandra Thompson

Alexandra Thompson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and environmental planning. At Resources for the Future since July 2014, Alexandra has progressed through various roles, culminating in the position of Senior Research Associate II and GIS Coordinator, focusing on ecological and hydrologic systems. Previous roles include assisting at the Virginia Water Resources Research Center and interning with the Northern Virginia Regional Commission in environmental planning and solid waste management. Alexandra holds a Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning with a certification in Geospatial Information Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Public and Urban Affairs from Virginia Tech.
